First of all, If you're reading this and just found out you're a Projector, welcome to the club! You’re part of the 20% of people who have a unique role to play, especially during these interesting, changing, and sometimes challenging times we’re living through. Glad to have you here, fellow Projector.
When you are a Projector, life can be extremely challenging though WHEN you don’t know what being a Projector really means and are plagued with a lot of negative conditioning. Being with the wrong people is also a huge obstacle that prevents you from smoothly sailing through life and gaining the recognition and success that you truly long for. Navigating through life to find your lasting happiness is completely different for you than all the other types.
For a Projector to reach the recognition and success they naturally long for and seek in life, it is crucial that they know they will find their True Role in life ONLY with the help of other people.
People who see you and who recognise your talents and
your skills are the ones that will bring you your opportunities and invitations and are very important signposts along the way you need to pay attention to.
I am a Projector myself and I give you an example of my own life to make it really clear and practical how this mechanism, that Human Design calls “Strategy: Waiting” really works.
When I started playing records as a DJ in my living room just for myself, I soon met a guy who was hosting events. He recognized my talent and taste in music and invited me to be a warm-up DJ at his events. This was the beginning of a 16-year-long career as a DJ. Not once did I try to initiate a gig myself - I was always invited by other people.
Another example is how I came to study Integrative Design and got my diploma as a Communication Designer. A friend of mine, who was already studying at a Design & Art school, suggested to me that I should pursue this field as well. She recognised and communicated to me that I have a lot of creativity inside me and believed that this particular area of study would be something I would enjoy. I intuitively followed her advice applied for the school and got invited to study there. And how right she was. :)
I could provide a few more examples, as I am a multi-passionate person with Gate 36 and Moon activation in House 6, which essentially means I thrive on variety and diversification in my daily life. All of the talents, skills, and passions I possess—those with the potential to bring me material success—have been recognised and called out by others.
The last example I want to share from my life is how I came to study Astrology and Human Design.
Before I unknowingly entered my Uranus Opposition and North Node Activation Phase—what many call a midlife crisis—I felt a strong urge to book an astrology reading. I saw an astrologer on a show on Gaia TV, and something about his energy caught my attention. I didn’t fully understand what he was saying during the entire 60 minutes reading, but I remember one thing he said clearly:
"If I ever need someone to explain astrology to people at events I’m organizing, I will book someone like you. Because you have the talent and potential to do so."
He spoke those words with such admiration that I was both baffled and perplexed at the time. Six months later, I found myself diving into Astrology, Human Design, and the I Ching. Now, here I am offering readings and sessions using these beautiful tools that have become so dear to my heart in order to support people in finding their True Role, their spiritual sovereignty and their lasting happiness in life.
It is really important to understand that you as a Projector are not here to initiate opportunities or jobs for yourself.
Taking the example of me playing records in my living room just for myself. Trying to become a DJ and organize gigs for myself would have been the wrong way to go about it. It might have worked, but it would have ended in struggle and unwanted outcomes and a lot of energy loss because that’s not how I’m designed to navigate life. I am not here to initiate.
Why make things difficult when you can have it easy?
As a Projector with a very distinct reservoir of energy,
nothing is more true than this: EASY IS RIGHT.
This strategy of waiting for other people to show you your direction in life is also true for other major life events, like moving to another country. You will be invited to do so.
On one hand, one could say this is very limiting, as if one can not decide for oneself; on the other hand, it is actually very comfortable, freeing, and brings a great deal of security into your life. When you allow yourself to be guided by life and decondition from everything that is not truly right for you, as a Projector, life will feel very, very sweet, comfortable, and beautiful.
So the most important thing for you as a Projector to discover your True Role is to know that other people will call out your talents and your direction in life. And the second most important thing is to know how you truly can decide and know if a person, an opportunity, an invitation or anything else in life is really a YES or a NO or a MAYBE LATER for you.
It is crucial to know which part of your body provides the signals of Yes, No, or Maybe—signals you probably need to learn to trust fully. Most of us tend to make decisions with the mind, but that approach doesn’t
lead to the outcome, life, and fulfillment we truly desire.
In Human Design terms this part/center of your body is called “Authority”.

Another real life example of the Projector strategy to find success in life.
Brad Pitt is an Energy Projector and a very famous and successful actor. Of course, I don’t know the details of Brad’s life, but I did some research and some digging. I found a text written by a former writer and producer at Warner Bros. Entertainment who hired Brad Pitt and got him a guest-starring role on Dallas. Here are his words about Brad:
“I recognized star quality in him when I hired him and said so to my partners. With the combination of looks and talent that he possessed, he stood a very good chance of becoming a star. My prediction came true.”
I’m pretty sure that other people in Brad's life emphasized his acting talent and good looks directly to him before he became
the star he is today.
